The rules that govern your use of Klaara. We\u2019ve kept it clear and fair.

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Klaara service ("Service"), provided by Rico Klatte ("Provider", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age.
2. Description of service
Klaara is an AI-powered tool that processes publicly available YouTube video content to generate structured summaries, visual articles, flashcards, and other learning materials. The Service includes:
- Read mode — converting videos into visual, article-style summaries with screenshots
- Watch smarter mode — AI-identified key moments with timestamped insights
- Adaptive summaries — customised output based on your role and expertise level
- Export features — sending content to Notion, Obsidian, or downloading as PDF
- Flashcard generation — automatically extracted key concepts for spaced repetition
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Accounts & registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your account.
You agree not to share your account credentials with others. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Free plan
The Free plan provides limited access to the Service at no cost. Free accounts are subject to usage limits. We may modify free plan limits at any time with 30 days’ notice.
Paid plans
Paid subscriptions (Light, Pro) are billed in advance on a monthly basis. Prices are displayed in EUR and are exclusive of applicable taxes. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days’ advance notice.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Refunds
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first paid subscription if you are unsatisfied. After this period, refunds are provided at our discretion. Contact klaara@klatterico.de for refund requests.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Process content that you do not have the right to access
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our prior written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual property
Our content
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Rico Klatte and is protected by international copyright and trademark laws. The Klaara name and logo are trademarks of the Provider.
Your content
You retain ownership of any notes or custom content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
Generated content
AI-generated summaries are derived from publicly available YouTube content. You may use generated content for personal and internal business purposes. Use remains subject to the original content creator’s copyright and YouTube's Terms of Service.
7. Privacy & data protection
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. For EU residents, we process personal data in accordance with the GDPR.
8. Service availability & support
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Support is available via email at klaara@klatterico.de. Response times vary by subscription level.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated summaries are created automatically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations of the source material.
Klaara does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any generated content. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rico Klatte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rico Klatte from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate your account for material breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your settings.
13. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days’ notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ravensburg, Germany.

15. Severability
If any provision is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
